Allen Vocademy LLC

Professor Allen's career in education spans nearly 20 years. Twice recognized in "Who’s Who in Community Colleges,” she has held roles as Developmental Reading Department Chair, Director of Curriculum, ESL Intake Coordinator, and Online Learning Experience Designer at local colleges and universities. Initially, she was certified by the State Board of Education in English Language Arts and Reading (grades 4-8, 8-12) and English as a Second Language (grades 4-12). Two of Allen’s proudest achievements are serving on the Texas Education Agency (TEA) standard-setting panel to recommend cut scores for the STAAR assessment and developing a college-readiness program for STEM freshmen in Lancaster ISD. She graduated with a Master of Education in Secondary Education from Texas A&M–Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts in Literary Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas.
