DeSoto Public Library: Xavier Bronten

Xavier Bronten, 2011 DeSoto High School graduate, will sign copies of his first book, Breakout, at the DeSoto Public Library on Saturday, September 5. Mr. Bronten, now a student at the University of Texas at Arlington majoring in Kinesiology, has a lifelong fascination with aviation and the extraordinary feeling of flight, which prompted him to write Breakout, the first in a series. Breakout is an action and adventure-based story set almost seventy years in the future and is aimed at young adult readers of science fiction. Copies of the book... will be available for purchase and autographing. Mr. Bronten is donating 20% of his royalties to the Disabled American Veterans Association in Dallas. Mr. Bronten says that military personnel who protect our nation are part of his writing inspiration, and he believes that contributing back to them is a rewarding idea.
