When: Saturday, June 11, 1:00 PM
What: Successful butterfly gardening
Who: Carolyn Ross, Texas Master Gardener and Master Naturalist
Where: DeSoto Public Library, Library Assembly Hall
Have you ever seen butterflies flitting around a garden and wondered how to plant your garden to attract them too? If so, please join Carolyn Ross, Texas Master Gardener and Master Naturalist of the Ellis County Master Gardeners Association, as she shares planting tips. She’ll focus on nectar plants which are essential for a successful butterfly garden.
Ms. Ross says that she’s always had an interest in gardening, nature, science, and photography. She’d “rather be out in the garden and nature than anywhere.” She’ll share what she’s learned about butterflies by observing, reading, and taking classes and webinars.
This program is free and open to the public. No registration is needed.
