“Clearing Your Criminal Record” program at the DeSoto Public Library
Where: DeSoto Public Library // Tuesday, May 31, 6 pm – 7:30 pm
One in four Americans has a criminal record, which can prevent them from leading normal lives. The past doesn’t have to haunt the future. This seminar will offer information on the expungement/non-disclosure process, including: eligibility; what records are subject to expungement/non-disclosure; how to file for a petition for expungement/non-dis...closure; what to expect if you represent yourself; and an explanation of new law that was recently passed – where you were once ineligible, you may now be eligible.
Ms. Seales is a criminal and immigration attorney who has devoted her career to empowering people with the hope and knowledge they need when faced with a daunting legal issue. Ms. Seales received her J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law and has been a Dallas County Assistant District Attorney and a Dallas County Public Defender. Ms. Seales dedicates her spare time helping educate individuals with their legal rights and hosting free legal seminars throughout the Dallas/Ft. Work community.
