The Dallas County District Attorney’s Office hosts several community forums throughout the year. Our goal is to help keep the citizens we represent abreast of the work our office performs on their behalf and to inform them about issues we believe to be of interest to them.
Your presence would be much appreciated at our next community forum on Saturday, September 16, 2017, as we are planning to have a vital conversation about how we can strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the Dallas County community. Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall, Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez, Bishop T.D. Jakes, and defense attorney Toby Shook are scheduled to serve as panelists. I will serve as the moderator.
The forum will be held from noon – 1:00 PM at The Potter’s House, 6777 West Kiest Boulevard, Dallas, Texas, 75236. Immediately following the forum, Bishop T.D. and Serita Jakes will host a Meet & Greet for the community and our invited guests.
As law enforcement officials, my colleagues and I strive to connect with the communities we serve. This forum is an opportunity for us to demonstrate our dedication to effecting any needed change. In turn, we hope it will inspire the community to join us in our efforts. Through this forum, we can continue to be an example to the nation that continued positive police-community relations can be achieved with productive and peaceful dialog.
