Boy Scouts: Whitney Young Character Luncheon

The Circle Ten Council of the Boy Scouts is hosting their Whitney Young Character Luncheon on Friday, November 6. This luncheon is being directed by Senator Royce West and is one of his signature annual events. The keynote speaker will be Admiral William H. McRaven who is the Chancellor of the University of Texas System. Admiral McRaven recently retired as a four-star admiral after 37 years as a Navy SEAL. He is considered the foremost authority in counter-terrorism and foreign relations. In 2011, McRaven was the first runner-up for Time Magazine's Person of the Year and was selected by the Dallas Morning News as the 2011 Texan of Year for his leadership of the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden.
